I have that same blue rose fabric and I love it. But I think your first instinct is probably right. The fabric is too "white"usy. and maybe too busy. If you're not sure go with something else. When the right one comes along, you'll know it. Kind of like the right man!!

So this is what I was thinking, what do you think? The lighter blue will be about 3/4" and then the last boarder will be the more dense flowers will be 9". I think this will work now that I see it in natural light.

I like both of those blues ... hard to know when we have no clue what the final block is going to look like. That can change things a lot!

The lighter blue ... and then the white/blue floral. The thin stripe around in yellow.

What are you planning for the outside border.

If you're wanting to test the pattern, without sewing ... cut out all your pieces, and put them on your design wall to give you the complete block! that'll give you a better idea, than looking at chunks of fabric rolled up or folded and laid together.

My wall is not big enough to hold all of it, I wish it was, it would make it easier. I have been putting it on my bed.

Just the one block (or two) ... is all you need.
