Terri, I was thinking the same thing - how did i ever miss this???

Melissa, that is so cute. And all the work you put into it. Love it!!!!! Makes me want to start one - just like the other ones did. Off to search for patterns.

You put so much love into all of your quilts and this is no exception.

How happy is this quilt??????? I just love it!

How about using the left-overs for the back, as somebody here suggested, maybe chix footprints making a pattern all over the back. -
maybe even leading to a nest. (do chickens nest?)

Oooohhhhh, Melissa...somehow I missed this and can't believe it! It is adorable! I am just going to get out my stack of patterns and get started on mine! I love yours! I'm trying to figure out how to get all the "odd" size blocks to play together nicely. Did you add strips to all of them to reach a uniform size for your rows?? What size is it? I'm still such a newbie but I like the look of the different size blocks. I know, that sounds sooo dorkie.

Pal has a really cute idea about the back!

Can't wait to see what you come up with for your border. I might have to take a HST break today and do some cutting for chicken applique

Melissa you are so creative. You came up with a great color combination and lay out for all the different patterns. the more I look at it the more different things I see. Love the egg running around with her feet showing!

Sandpat, I worked in sections. I think there were seven sections in all. Then added the strips and filler to make everything fit together.

Alaskan lady I love that little egg too!!! I thought it was so cute!!! :D

I guess I missed this too! OMG that is soooo cute! I have enuf trouble with blocks that are supposed to be the same size, let alone using different sizes! So very creative - this one should win a prize!

Wow...that is fantastic. Are you the artist that created the pattern or what...I love this style and would like to find some more patterns with the same kind of "look" about them. Any ideas?
