You can access the Anita Grossman Solomam pattern by searching here on the Board. She sent me the link the other day. Whatever you do will be wonderful because Auntie made it. How wonderful, another member of the family, and babies are so sweet.

I vote for a Trip Around the World....so you don't have to cut these cute fabrics in too-small pieces!

These fabrics would make a great rag quilt & would be warm & soft with it being flannel. Rag quilts are very easy to make & you can cut the squares any size you like. I have made lots of the & they are loved by everyone that got them. I also do rag quilts with denim & fleece.

Don't do a rag quilt for a baby (that's what I've read before).

Pinwheels would be a really cute baby quilt with your fabrics and maybe a fabric that's more of a solid that would tie them all together.

Good quilt is the Kaye Wood 6-hour quilt. It's a very fast and easy QAYG.

Personally, I would not use the top left fabric with the other pink fabrics but maybe use it as backing....maybe! Maybe use it in another quilt for the same baby!! The other fabrics are wonderful together though and you could well use another more solid or tone on tone with them.

Start with 5" blocks. The 9 patch will seem huge but when you cut it down and sew it back together it will end up about 12 1/2" square. You could do a 10 min block too. They are cute. Just make the starting squares smaller than the 10" size blocks Suzanne uses in the video. Here is the link to the directions. I made a twin size one of these in less than 4 hours. That included the time to cut the blocks and I machine quilted it too.
Good luck...crafty_linda_b sittin' & quiltin' on the Cal-Ore border
