That's beautiful. MY first quilt was a completely hand pieced GFG and I did the binding in keeping with the hexi configuration. To make my binding, I placed the template (minus added seam allowance) side by side and drew around just the top edges and sides (just to the point of where they touch each other. Then, when I cut out the fabric, I added the seam allowance only to those sides that are not touching each other. This is so clear in my head, but sounds confusing on paper. Wish I knew how to attach pictures.

Stunning. I'm working on a very scrappy hexagon quilt for my daughter. I was thinking after I finish the body I would appliqué it to a striped border. That's my plan. I know I'll find the perfect stripe before I need it.
