wow, that is absolutely one of the most gorgeous quilts i've seen on here, and this site is loaded with gorgeous quilts from wonderful people. Your mom is a pretty talented lady. what a treasure to have your parents with you.

I'm sure Barb is appreciative of all your kind words. She is no longer on the QB. Also, for those of you who know/knew her, her Mother passed away I think it was back in November.

Sorry but my niece would never see the light of this quilt. I would go out and buy her a very nice gift. I would then have this long talk with my mother how she never made a quilt like this for me. I would rub in the guilt so that she will agree that the quilt would be mine and the gift that I purchased would go to my niece. sorry but this quilt is absolutely beautiful and if my mom made it, well, you fill in the rest. This is a heirloom and your niece may not understand the time, dedication, patience, commitment, history and the art that went into this piece. Now if your mom won't agree with you, you need to take matters into your own hands and go and buy her a quilt from Walmart and send that. No way, no how.

OMG!! Georgeous!! I would be jealous of my cousin too!! I just really hope she appreciates it like you would! Please tell your mother she is very talented and she should be really proud. I wouldn's even attemp this one.
