I agree with Deb. I'd leave a little white space between the star points and the dark border at the top. I think it would help to keep the stars from wanting to float right off the top of the valance. This is a fabulous window treatment and your work is beautiful.
Your quilted valance is beautiful. I have been looking for a new idea for a valance for a guest room. If you want it a little wider, to meet the wall brackets & cover the window frame, you could put a larger boarder all the way around, instead of just at the top, as others have suggested.

I love it. When we had a stick house (we are full time RVers) I had decorated the whole house in Native American. This would have been great on my windows. I made the valances but did not quilt, never thought of it. May use this idea if and when we have a stick house again. You did a really great job.
