What a wonderful tribute, I think we don't recognize the real sacrifices that those women made. I don't think I would have had the courage to travel to an unknown wilderness and make a home. Your quilt is beautiful, thanks for sharing!

Great fabrics! Wouldn't our grandmothers and great grandmothers be amazed at the selection of fabrics now? We've come a long way from feed sacks baby.
