This is for an 11 year old who loves horses, and since I love her, I thought she would like this for her birthday. It started out as a throw, but ended up fitting a queen size bed. She visited at Christmas and saw all my stash and wanted to make her dog a quilt. I cut and she did all the seams by herself. She was so proud of what she did, I hope this will make her want to be a "quilter".

This is a beautiful quilt. And good for you to take the time to help her make her dog a quilt. My daughter pieced her first quilt at age 7. She's now 18 and still at it! Great to get those quilting 'seeds' planted at an early age!!

You don't need to be a horse lover to love that. Gorgeous.
