My first post gave some examples but you can literally do them any size you want and just follow the steps.

Actually, I do have one that I wrap around my neck. I'll take a picture of it for you tomorrow and post the dimensions. I make that one a lil different so it sits properly on either side of your should with a cut out for the neck.

lol...he gets all the samples gone wrong ;) the best thing that i made him in this category is hand warmers. he works at a race track (cars) they spend a lot of time outside...and gloves are hard to use. So i made him several reusable hand warmers...he LOVES them...even asked for more.

My goal for 2011 is a quilt for him...*crossesfingers*

They are neat! Seriously only feed corn inside??? I haven't heard of that. Anything special or the kind the kids feed the ducks and geese??

Great tut!
SandyGail
check out the pics that i posted in the first post and it has a close up of the directions i include, pretty basic and of course if you're making something smaller/bigger than i did you have to adjust the time accordingly in the microwave.

Yup...here it is in all it's glory :) http://www.academy.com/index.php?pag...333-02486-0000

Thanks...my bf bought me one years ago in a mall kiosk & it was quite pricey (and it didn't have a removal/washable cover)...since then, made my own. I've also used rice, but like the weight of the rice.

You can put stuff in them (lavendar, herbs, oils, etc.) however, i've only done that in mine as I never know if others have allergies. There's TONS of patterns/formulas and ideas online for them...I kind of just adapted for what worked for me to do.

There's even a free pattern for an adorable lil eye pillow one with a case by Amy Butler (it uses a smaller grain - flax I believe...because it's smaller).

Thanks so much for sharing these, and for the wonderful tute!
I had one person on my list who I had no CLUE what to do for, and no money to shop with. I do have plenty of fabrics, and, in a pinch, a bag of rice.
So, TY, TY, TY!!! You have made my day!!!

All your pictures look so nice. The bags look so nice and finished with the tags on them. It's the nice touches that make our homemade sewing projects looks great!
