I didn't have a pattern...Like so many quilts i've made I start with an idea and keep adding to it till I like the results. The hearts on the pink squares were added last. As you may have noticed, the bottom picture shows it without them. I just took 4" squares, folded and freehand cut the hearts. I used a satin stitch about 1/2" in from the edge and then clipped the edge so it will fray. I'm glad you liked it!!

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your daughter. Funny, how inspiration takes shape to both celebrate the life, joy, and love your daughter had for her granddaughter and that you were able to honor her request to make a special quilt. Ditter it is beautiful. That quilt represents such a lot...and I am sure Jillyn will treasure it always. Thank you for sharing your story and your quilt.
