I made these two identical centers with some jelly rolls. I had thought about joining them to make one larger quilt but decided to make 2 cuddle quilts for Project Linus--one for a boy and one for a girl. I was amazed at how different they look with the different border fabrics. The darker border seems to bring out the darker fabrics in the center while the pink border brings out the lighter fabrics.

This is my first attempt at posting pics so I hope this works

How interesting! I guess we all know how much of a difference the borders can make, but that was a startling example! Very pretty. Which did you like more? I think I go for the softer, lighter one, but they are both great. Good job!

Oh, I defintely am more drawn to the lighter one. That fabric was a last-minute purchase on my way out of the quilt shop. It was in the front room next to the cash register so I didn't see it when I was looking at the kids fabrics. I fell in love with it and had to have some--so we had to make a quick trip back to the cutting table

What a striking example of borders-thanks so much for sharing. I think I like the darker one better, though both are great. I know you are going to make 2 kids very happy with your donation-how sweet of you.
