    Thanks a lot! I just spent an hour searching the Internet to see how that was made LOL I really like it, now I must get it out of my mind or I will be 'forced' to start working on one. :-)

    It looks like you might need to start at the outside and do a circle, and work you way in, planning your layout along the way a little bit. But I'm pretty good at eyeballing things. Maybe that plan wouldn't work well for everyone.

    It is a marvelous variant on the traditional clamshell pattern, as others have said. I really love what the artist did with this simple shape. I may have to do one too, using my own variations. I was intending to do a clamshell anyway.
