Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry - but so glad you made light of it - and got it taped back together again!
Thanks for the smile this morning :)

Sounds like something I'd do. Hopefully someone at the co-pay receiving end will be a quilter.

I am sure my DH was yet again convinced that I had lost it. All alone in my sewing room and busting a gut laughing at self. It usually takes a week to 10 days to get our reimbursements, so I will let you know what happens. If they don't allow it, that's ok....it was worth it for the laugh.

Your story is so funny! And then to picture you carefully piecing your receipt back together was just the best punch line. At least they will know what an enthusiastic quilter you are. ;)
This is a little different, but I once baked a layer cake in my Mom's old fashioned aluminum cake pans. I assembled and iced the layers and took a lot of care in decorating it. My in-laws and parents were all gathering for my FIL's birthday. After he blew out the candles, I went to the cut the cake but ran into trouble about half way through... I had left the aluminum insert between the layers. We all had a really good laugh. And everyone remembers that cake!
