How to quilt?
#6
I think it would be fun to quilt this one because you can do all kinds of different free motion motifs - stars, flowers, bees, leaves, etc. - and it will all go together because there are so many different things in the sampler. I would also do some outline quilting, maybe some echo quilting, but go crazy with experimentation. It is really cute!

Outline quilting is just quilting around the shape that is there, either in the ditch or a quarter inch away.
Echo quilting is repeating that shape at quarter inch intervals like the ripple when you throw a stone in a still pond. It is not necessary that it is exactly at quarter inch, but I use my quarter inch foot and echo quilt a lot. It is especially easy on straight lines. Keep echoing until you run out of space.
I agree with the above suggestions to outline quilt and then use lots of different techniques to practice many shapes and HAVE FUN!
