Keep designing, this is quite stunning. Maybe we'll see you in the magazines some day.

It is absolutely wonderful and I don't see anything that is a mess. I have issues with SID to so I use the serpentine stitch and that solves the issue of staying in the ditch and I lie the way it looks. Great job

Love your design, and the resulting quilt! I love blue too, so I especially love your quilt!

I think the final measurements were 126 x 126. It still needs the binding attached, but that should go quickly - once I get it started, hee hee. BTW: my cameral stinks. To do the fabrics justice, I need to get a new one.

I got out the walking foot and did a MID, oops, I mean SID. In case you can't deciper that, MID is: missed the ditch. I think the MID outdid the SID. Regardless, somehow I got this quilt squished into the arm of my DSM. It was a magic trick because there are two layers of high loft batting and I used minky for the back. Thus the reason for more MID than SID. Squish squish wiggle wiggle. It looks good as long as you don't get tooooooo close to the seams.

The minky on the back makes it really soft and comfy!!! I'd use it again as long as I could find it at a good price. I only had 500 pins, and because I was worried about the minky shifting, I pinned this quilt over and over again with those 500 pins. There are well over 3000 squares plus all those strips in this quilt. I think I pinned most of the squares! BTW: can't spray baste minky. It wouldn't work.

I would have loved to give this a bargello curve, but I thought I wanted the pieces the same size this time. If I do it again, I certainly want to "bargello" it!

As you can tell, I really like blue. I am really into monochromatic themes. Something about varients of the same color really appeals to my senses.

Oh, and can you find my quilt inspector? She is sniffing in the flagstones for a SNAKE!!! Our little beasty has killed several snakes, as long as she can catch them.

Thanks for looking!!!
Was surprised to see that you wrote spray basting doesn't work with Minky fabric; on the Cuddle Soft quilt kits, it explicitly states in the instructions to use Spray 505 to assist in sewing the strips onto the batting and backing. I thought Minky and Cuddle Soft were like quality fabrics. I have three kits and am now worried about it maybe NOt working?
