I agree with cjomomma unless some applique could be done. That would be very pretty!

Thanks for all the comments!!! My cousin will be hand quilting and I will have to ask her about the applique (sp?). Could block off some of the sections for that. Another good idea.

What a wonderful quilt. I love the different simple patterns in the fabric and she is going to just love it and treasure it. Thanks for sharing.
