It doesn't look too big in the pictures. I think you did a wonderful job, and I love your butterflies you quilted in the quilt. I have made a lot of quilts with flannel backing, and they are soooo warm in the winter, I know your student, and mother will love it.

I have never put handles on a quillow but what a good idea. The quilt and bag are lovely.

I know your gift will be appreciated by the recipient. To make it quillow style is perfect for her to carry it with her to treatments. This is a hard journey and you have made it just a bit easier by your caring and loving gift.

Thanks for the support, everyone. I really appreciate it. There were a lot of "first times" in this project, and I'm learning more and more with each one I make.

Since I've never made a quillow................I assume you attached the pre-quilted pocket on after you quilted the quilt, but how did you attach it so seamlessly to the backing? I assume the binding was put on last, which would encase the bottom seam of the pillow, but I'm interested in how you attached the sides. You were a kind and thoughtful person to do this for your student's mother. Lets pray her treatment is a road to recovery!
