    wonderful quilt, red. and how creative of you to use those deer? elk? moose? caribou? heads like that. i can't wait to see it completed.

    Super job! Love the colors,style,everything. You doing a great job.I made my DH one-started out as a 4th of July throw for the couch and he wanted it for his truck before it was half done. I was so surprised. Men. gotta love em.LOL

    By the way that is a very nice quilt you made for your hubby. Thanks for showing it. And welcome to the board. :-)

    Thanks ever so much for the sweet comments on my hubby's quilt girls. I found this fabric in a second hand store while making a donation recently. Dodie saw it and told me the fabric is twelve years old or something like that. And ... That she had a pattern for it that she used to teach. She graciously sent it to me. Which I changed because I wanted the heads to show more, the arrows to be on the top and bottom, as well as the sides and I found the grey background fabric at my lqs, windy moon.

    There is a new series of this wild life fabric out on the market now. I saw it at Ben Franklins.

    This was what the original pattern looked like....

    your changes make a huge difference in the overall feeling of the finished top. i don't know if this was your intent, but it has a more american indian look to it now. and you're right: the grey is just right.

    you've put a lot of thought and work in this top. are you really sure you like him enough to give it to him?

    Red I love finding those great finds at thrift shops and you did a awesome job reworking that pattern. So glad your Honey apprecaited it.
