You did great on your first quilt. You learned so much and I'm sure your next quilt will be more fun to sew.

Great job! My first quilts were so nasty. You should be very happy with this first attempt!

I have read all the wonderful comments. Thank you once again for all the support.

I can not wait to get this second project done so I can show you all my improvements. But, I won't point them out this time around. I am very hard on myself mainly because of childhood. But, that is ok. Our past is what makes us stronger for tomorrow. Every mistake made today, is a lesson learned for tomorrow. I do not wish to achieve perfection as I don't believe there is such a thing. But, I do strive for better.

Just a whisper in your ears. My hubby was so impressed with my quilt that he is going to try one. I can not wait for his endeavor. He is so more artsy than I am. I love his ideas. I am a plain type of person and he is such a fun creative intricate type of person. It will no doubt take him some time to do one due to his work schedule. But, I assure you. I am patiently waiting. He bought his fabric so now I wait and watch it come together.

I do not feel I could of learned to quilt before technology. I am a visual type of person. So I love the fact I have access to so many videos and written instructions with pictures.( come on who don't like pictures lol).

    Have a great quilting day.

What a bright and pretty quilt you've made! Love yellow and white. What could be sunnier! Good, good job!

Gosh I just love your quilt. I think the fabric choices are great and the piecing is super. Don't worry and apologize about the binding. It is all good-no worries. Who ever looks at that anyway? Just enjoy your wonderful accomplishment and now you get to go fabric shopping!

You did great for a first try! My first top was never made into a quilt until last year when I made it the backing for a Mariner's quilt for my DH and I. My color choices weren't what I had intended. Instead of colonial blues, it was more grey scale. You did a whole lot better!! At least yours is pretty & not drab!! :-) I think you did great!!

A great first quilt. Just keep making them.
Sorry to tell you this, I have been quilting for 50 or 51 years and I still make mistakes. Fortunately I usually notice them and can fix them. I have made about 260 quilts and comforters, no excuse. Of course I usually don't make the same quilt very often. Some days things come easier than other days.
