The Hummingbird Quilt is done!!!

To be honest with you, if I saw the floral fabric alone, I would have sprinted away from it as fast as I could go. However, with the coordinating fabric and pattern you selected, it looks absolutely stunning. You have an incredible eye for fabric patterns and combinations!

I lost her a few years back. SO I had to have it. I wasn't quit sure how to do this when I got the fabric but I knew it had to reflect her. Then came the humming birds (by the way they are machine embroidered on), She loved humming birds more then I do and I love them a lot so this whole quilt is in memory of her. Her favorite flowers were roses, she had several planted in her yard. Funny thing is the green and white blocks were rejects from a quilt that I made for my son. They fit this one so perfect I had to use them.

Ok I'm glad everyone seems to like this because I was worried about the fill in blocks. I didn't have enough of the green & white ones to do an all over thing so I had to improvise. I tried to pick colors from the roses to use in those blocks and my stash was sort of low on colors but I was able to get them close. I hadn't notice they glowed until you mentioned it but I think you are right. Wow I love accidents that turn out so well. LOL
