    Default Hunter Star

I just completed, or may have completed, a Caribbean color quilt for DH. The question is I am thinking about a piano border for it to shout the colors out but am undecided about it. I would love your thoughts on a border for it. I don't mind it being a smaller quilt with no border either. Just need a bit of help figuring this one out.

Love the same colors together instead of an all over scrambled colors. I would opt for just binding unless you need to make up width or length. What ever color you decide on, it will pop in the quilt. You can't go wrong either way. Love the happy colors.

What a happy hunters star, so cheerful! I would just call it done unless you need to add a border to get it the size you need. If you do need to add a border, I would opt for one that is half the size of the block (8 inch block, 4 inch border etc. ) and in a solid color that compliments the colors already in there; beautifully done! Don’t forget to show us pictures when you’re done.

Your quilt is awesome. I would use a grey or turqoise or both.

I like the multi-colored hunter's star that you made.

My "thought" is that a piano key border would be distracting - but do you have some scraps that you could just lay out around the top to see what you think?

If you did do a piano key border, I think a separating border between the body and the keys would be better than just joining the piano keys directly to the main body.

Pretty top! If you put on a piano key border with all the colours, do a white small border between the the top and the keys.

I give you credit - there isn't anyway I can do the same block over and over again - I get too bored. But you have aced this one and then making so many boomerang blocks with this pattern - simply perfection

That's a beautiful quilt, Julia. I'd just quilt and bind it with no border, if it were mine.
