I cannot believe i MADE this Calendar wall hanging quilt
#1
In our small town we got a couple of people together at one stage and we used to meet every week and share our ideas and give a little lesson to the group. We would all TRY  to take turns. Why i say 'try', that is because we were all learners at different stages. One of the ladies came in with our local RSA magazine and there was this Calendar quilt. Well i fell in love with it and, of course, being a quilter, had to make it :P This was the first time i had come across pp. I read the instructions and away i went with the brain ticking and the machine humming! This is what the end result was. My daughter qualified last year as a Foundation Phase teacher and this year 2010 was her first year as a teacher teaching Grade 2 (8 year) children. It hungs up in her class.
Purple is my favorite colour and January is my birth date. Say no more! lol

So enjoyed making the Christmas tree and decorating it with fansy buttons and small bows.

This was professionally joined. They did a stunning job and outlined all the drawings and months. Then meandered the blue strips. IT MADE MY WALL HANGING SO PROFESSIONAL.

It is so pretty. I'm sure that the kids like it. My mom made me a quilt with all different students sitting at desks. It was paper pieced. Congratulations to your daughter on getting a job. They are scarce in our area. I have three DDs and 1 SIL that are teachers. The health and physical ed teacher was laid off in June, but she hopes to find something soon.
