I am giving it to my niece for college. I am thinking about sending it out to be quilted, I have never quilted anything other than a QAYG strip baby quilt and table topper. Since this is a gift, I want it to look nice. I would try it I think if it was for me. It is twin size, I have no idea how much it will cost to be quilted, never priced it before in my area. Although if you have any ideas of a simple way to quilt this please share, I might be brave enough to try if it is not too hard.
Thanks for looking and any advice is appreciated.
Really nice! Love the colors! The most simple & easy way would be to sandwich it & tie it. I have never had any of my quilts quilted by someone else. It's just my feeling that it wouldn't be totally "mine" if I had someone else finish it. Please don't think I'm criticizing those who do. This is just the way I feel. (As a consequence, I'm taking a forced break from hand quilting due to overworking my hands & getting tendonitis/tendonosis. LOL Probably should be sending mine out. LOL)

You could just outline each square. That would be cute. I love your color choices! What line of fabric is this if you dont mind sharing?

great job. That first big quilt is always a thrill to finish. Around here quilting starts at a penny an inch for simple quilting and goes up from there depending on how fancy you want it. Keep up the good work...

Glenda your not along. I feel the same way you do. But I have yet to learn how to hand quilt and have all these unfinished tops. That's alright. It will get done and I will enjoy the process as I go. Hope your hands are feeling better.

Oh My! What a beautiful work. I hope you make a lot more quilts. You really have a talent! I love the colors you chose, and the design too. What a lucky niece you have -- and what an encouragement this quilt will be for her.

I love your quilt! I bought fabrics yesterday in these same colors but haven't decided on a pattern yet. You chose beautifully and I'm sure your niece will be thrilled.

Your quilt is very pretty, and the workmanship looks great from here. My advice to you is, to keep making quilts. The colors are great. For a first, you are off to a great start.
