I finished my first quilt top!

Way cute! I'll go against the tide and vote for poly. It is light, warm, easy to work with, and mildew resistant.
Cotton battings will shrink with washing and drying. This results in a crinkled look that may or may not be what you're after.

Great job on your very 1st quilt top, it's adorable fabric too! I will only echo the others and agree with the Warm and Natural choice for your batting. Whatever you decide for yourself be sure to post a pic of the finished product!

I love your quilt!
I do hand quilt with Warm & Natural. I'm not a very experienced hand quilter, and don't "load" my needle (well, once in a while I experiment with it). It must be harder to do that with Warm & Natural. It's just one stitch at a time, and I'm about to start hand quilting my 96X112! See you in a year or so! Also, I don't hoop it. Don't enter my work in judging events either!
