Here is the finnished wedding quilt. 10x10 feet It machine washed and machine dried up beautifully.
The bride and groom loved it. They did! Her mother is a quilter too and both DS and daughter in love appreciate quilts. I pressented the quilt to them at the reception and have pictures of them in their wedding clothes wrapped in the quilt. They were both emotional about it. I did not expect that and am touched by their response. They actually took it on their 2 night honeymoon. That was the best compliment.
In the mean time I am so happy to go on to a smaller project. Thank you all for your input and encouragement. It was a life line and of tremendous help.
This is a simple design by me, using shoe fly blocks set on point, and is made with mostly Judie Rothermel Civil War tribute fabrics. The free motion quilting was done on a Janome 6500.
The quilt is not laying all the way flat in the picture but in real life it is. Yeahhh!
And I now have a married child. A new chapter in my life.

That is beautiful. I am partial to civil war fabrics. Your colors are fabulous. I'll bet you are glad to get that one finished, must have been quite a challange to quilt. Congrats to the bride and groom.
