Thank you everybody. I love the star too, and the Downy quilt is so bright and happy! They really send excellent materials to make them with. Now, I want to make some more to donate!

That star block is wonderful! Please post pictures of the whole top when it's done. Thank you for posting a link to the pattern. Sounds like the Downey quilt got you going again!

Very pretty, I love the fabric you have around the outside edge on your Downy quilt, it is really cool! Great block too, I am not up to that level of complicated block yet but one day....

Thank you! This is actually not a very complicated block. I just did what you might call a "private tutorial" on how to make it this morning for someone. That is why I made the block. I took pictures along the way and sent to the person who was having some trouble. You should check out the pattern. You might be surprised.

Thanks Marilyn, I am at this moment working on how to do the Ohio star which I love and it has so many uses, I hope to progress to the Carolyns block after that! I think I am trying to run before I can walk!! Lol.
