So my DH and I found out we are having a baby GIRL in March! Since neither of us are big "pink" fans we are going to use the colors green, yellow and lavender.

Today I was bored around the house and did not feel like cleaning so I decided to make a few receiving blankets :-)

    Just wanted to share!!!

Yep! Not only that but this is the first grandchild for both sides of the family. I come from a big family but my DH is an only child so needless to say, this little girl is already spoiled :-)

Congats! Love the blankies you made for your daughter! She is a lucky lil girl to have such a talented mommy! Are you going to try to make any clothes for her? If so I have some patterns that I could send your way, let me know by pm if you want them.

Congrats on the up-coming arrival of a new family member! Your blankets are really going to come in handy. I love the home-made ones because they are bigger and the babies stayed wrapped in them way better! I crochet around fleece to make blankets. No babies for me since I am a Grandma now. I make the fleece blankets to sell at craft shows.
