I have been going shopping for some new fabrics lately. I had a real shortage of yellows, oranges and purples. It's usually hard to find them that I like. So, my Mom and I have both been shopping several times. Here are the pictures of my new fabrics.
    I love them!!!

Thank you! As for what I'm going to make. Well, the fabrics in the first picture (at least some of them) are going to be used in another Bargello for my daughter April. She wants me to design hers though, not make a Swish! She had picked out colors before but they were all dark. I figured I would get some lights in her colors to go in the Bargello, If she liked any of them. (She liked them all.)
I need a break from the bargello right now though, but I will be making it in the near future.

A lot of them are just yellows, oranges and purples that I don't have many of. I try to buy those colors when I see them IF I like them. Then there are the marbled blenders. I need those alot and these are either colors I'm almost out of, or colors I liked and didn't have. The rest was just too pretty not to buy. It will just build up my stash.

I counted them and there are 50 new pieces! That is way too many, as I didn't really need all of it. I am grounded now.
(Self-imposed.) But, I got an email from the quilt shop tonight. (Yeah, the one in Humboldt, where they are going to buy 6 of my patterns to start with, to sell in their store, if you hadn't heard.) Anyways, I have to take the patterns up there.

So, I get this email tonight saying "Memorial Day Sale", Saturday, 25% off all material, including the new stuff,
Magazines 25 to 50% off, and an extra 10% off all sale merchandise. I will probably need to deliver the patterns on Sat. (They had this beautiful 'true' red Moda textured fabric that I really want, and I can't find it anywhere else. Not even close to the same color anyways.) I will probably need to be blindfolded then, as alot of their fabric is like $4.25 less 25%!!!

Anyways, I will put it in my stash and create some totally awesome quilt with it someday. ROFL Sounds good anyways!

Oh yes! Toucan Sam. I love to go looking all day and buy fabrics that I really love to put in my stash. Then, when I get ready to make something, I usually have some really pretty fabrics to use. That is sooo much better for me than to have to go shopping when I want to make something. It is 30 min. to my favorite quilting store, 45 min to Humboldt and 1 hour to Iola. By the time I'd get there, go shopping, get home, I wouldn't have the time or the energy to sew!

You did good. I'm out in the corn fields, so when I go shopping, I have to do it all in one day. Gotta work all week to pay for it then...but I figure I'm supporting the economy and my addiction to fabric. Nice stash.

Very beautiful choices, I use lots of the blender/tone on tones/splotchy/solids. I can't seem to keep as many as I would like to have.

Thank you. I like the blenders/splotchies too and I didn't have much left of them. The closest quilt shop isn't very big and didn't have alot of the colors. When we went to Iola, they had soooo many colors, and shades of colors, that I had to get them (while I had the chance). When you live an hour's drive from a big city, you just have to get it when you see it, or it'll be gone.
