Well, I don't know why you hate it, I think it's very pretty! The colors don't look dull to me either. Good job!

What your sister will like best about it is the love and thought that went into it :D :D

I think you did a wonderful job on your sister's quilt! I have made a quilt with colors that I would not have chose in a million years, but the recipient is very happy with them :D I think you did a good job on the quilting! John Flynn said that in nature, nothing is perfect and concentric...so that makes your quilt perfect :D :D :D

thank you all for your kind comments. i love how supportive you all are.

john flynn should have his head examined.

one sister at one time is all i can stand.

the only thing i do like about it, is that it came out very square. by the way, the fabrics are all way off-grain, and i didn't fight it.

the colors are, really, very murky. i like bold color and these are not my style at all. i would have made it blue.

i drew the feathers right on the fabric with a chalk marker and followed the lines. nothing special about that. same with the stippling. and no two blocks are the same size.

i am very disappointed in myself. i bit off more than i could chew. which is why i've been working this quilt since november.

EDIT: my sister knows very little about quilting, so she will like it. as for the job, i have sold much better quilts than this and that's what's infuriating!

B, your going to think I am making this up, but I like those colors!
And it may not be up to par with your other work...only you would know, but looks good to me. Are you going to give it to her? Tell her the problems you had, and that you made yourself finish it anyway, as a gesture of your love for her. She will love that. :D

My, but that is quite a description. You should write for a newspaper,...or books, LOL
