I was curious about your student bookmarks. Did you have a pattern or did you make it up?

Wow! You have been super busy getting those rooms swapped out! Lovely to have it all done and looking so good! Congratulations on having a better space for both activities!
Missed seeing Buddy, had to go back and check him out! Looking good!

I made it up and made it better with suggestions from the board. :-D I will post them when they're done...and explain a bit then. The quick story is this: I cut a 9" piece of muslin--sew strips onto it--cut it into three 3" strips, put a 3" by 9" back right sides together--sew around leaving a place to turn. I steam-a-seam the opening. Add a grommet, tassels, beads, and you're done!

Buddy??? I had to go back to look too!! It looks like his tail is half off! Goodness!

I've graded papers for over two hours--so I haven't even stepped foot in my new sewing room. I have seen a lot of that library table though.

Way to go, Karla! It all looks fabulous.

I drape huge plastic bags (VERY lightweight, like dry cleaner bags) over the tops of my cut strips (mine hang on spring action shower rods across a closet door frame) to keep the dust off. For the same reason, I drape the plastic bags over the tops of our clothes in our closets.

Speechless, here. Lovely rooms. Both are very nice. Yes, I am a teacher, too. I understand what you mean about the books and stuff. I gotta weed out some stuff, too. I have a longstanding dream of building onto our house for sewing and crafts--yours leaves me a little weepy, but am glad you were able to get yours fixed up.
