No, I'm sorry to say -- no more Florida. It is a wonderful place to be and I really enjoyed the "snowbirds quilters gathering" that I started a couple years ago. Not a guild because it was just a gathering - drop in - every week at the snowbirds center in Destin. Mostly Canadians -- and their energy and quilting expertise were amazing!!!

We now have the summer place in Maine and a condo in Olympia WA for winter. A third place to pack and plan for would just be too much.

We have a car on each coast.

I shall miss all the friends we made there ans the Flying Needled group was the best guild I have ever been with.

The pattern is Starry Path. It was made by a lady way back in the 50s My SIL bought it at a family estate sale and asked me to repair and finish it. I think I've put in almost 500 hours into it so I am really glad it is finished. Repairing the top took forever before I could start the quilting.
