Nice Job! Teal and chocolate is so pretty together. Love the way you placed the light against the dark to make it pop. I like your quilt and am all for fast & easy. I too must laugh, not at you but with you. I decided to do a scrappy strip quilt and I could not just grab strips and sew. I had to strategically place the colors and still don't like it. After 32 block I put it away. I find it hard to work on something I don't really like. Maybe if I do a block every now and again I might actually get it done in this lifetime.

Isn't there an Organized...PLANNED scrappy? That's the kind I'll make someday. As a matter of fact now that I think about it, the very first quilt I made was like that! LOL I'll have to dig it out & take pic to post! Your quilt is great...keep stretching and pushing..going scrappy might just be your next favorite thing!

I didn't like them either until I made a postage stamp sampler. I put all the pieces in a bag and just pulled them out. It actually turned out pretty cool and I've done a number of scrappy quilts since. I actually love the quilt!

  I wouldn't even call this scrappy - for me, this would be a color coordinated quilt.

And that's what keeps the world interesting, everyone has a different take on things.

Nothing wrong with this quilt. I like it!
And I agree with Butterfly, to me this isn't scrappy. It's totally color coordinated. Beautiful colors too. 8-)

Believe it or not I just had someone explain that simple quilt to me at the LQS--She showed me a pic on her camera--it was done the same way using 6" sqs. and the rectangles. I like it! I love meeting up accidently with fellow quilters. And I love scrappy as I have over-flowing baskets of scraps.
