I've heard that a person does much better work when they know the piece will be used for something. You probably put much more effort into this because you didn't plan to throw it away. You also probably learned more. I think it is great to see this kind of thing. Please keep sharing.

Your work is beautiful. As far as I'm concerned, you're VERY welcome to post "quilting" on this site, I appreciate seeing your work. I keep thinking about doing it, but after about ten inches, I give up because it's ugly!! Good for you, it's lovely!!
