What a lovely and thoughtful gift! I wish we had kept some of my Dad's shirts so I could do something like that. I really like that you put all his nicknames and special words on the quilt. You have a creative mind!

Your neutral pulled everything together beautifully. That is a lesson we all need to learn -- I really like your idea of embroidering all the names around the edge. Your Mother will be wrapped in your Dad's love as well as yours each time she uses the quilt.

When you give it to your mum spray with his favourite aftershave. My friend made a similiar quilt using her husbands shirts , they turned out to be all blue or grey , and she sprays her's and snuggles in it.
