I bought this material to do a baby quilt for my brother, his baby is due in Sept. What pattern or layout could I use? I have these two (2yrds each) and a solid light blue piece of flannel that I could use for the backing. Would I need other fabric or is there something I would be able to do with just these two?
Thanks for any help, I am at a loss for a pattern.

Cute fabric!
I think the first piece would make a great border.
The second piece could be solid blocks and you could make either 9 patch with a combination of the blues, brown, and cream or a strip patch (three strips wide and one strip across)with the same colors.
Here is a pic that shows the strip patch I mentioned. a really easy pattern.

glad you like it. This one's measurements were 8 1/2" squares so the strip patch was three 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" and one 2 1/2' x 8 1/2"
I hope that makes sense.
Please post pics of your finished work.

Thank you Nana for the measurments.
Any other idea's? Im thinking I will have to go pick up more fabric, probably browns and blues. I have brown plaid that matches the brown in the bear fabric but I do not know if it goes with the bears or if I even have enough of it.
