I Spy Quilts Completed for Grandsons for Christmas

I finished these I Spy quilts after a year plus collecting of novelty fabrics. My husband selected the pattern for these. They are backed in minkee and have batting. I did stitch in the ditch. I looked at the photos and they are a bit out of focus, but they are wrapped and in the mail, so I can't retake the picture. I need to be more careful next time. This makes three I Spy quilts and one more to go.

I love I spy quilts! Yours are awesome! I do understand collecting fabrics for a year. It's so much fun visiting different quilt stores looking at all the different novelty prints. I "shopped" in my friends' stashes as well.

Love that wonky setting. Really makes for lots of interest in the quilt. Great job!

I love "wonky" and yours are perfect! Rigid rows are OK, but for fun, or for kids, wonky is best (in my book, anyway... does that say something about my mind?).

Very nice! I wish they'd had I Spy quilts when my kids were little - they would have loved quilts like these and I would have been happy to have them occupied and busy looking at all those beautiful fabrics you collected.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

I spy's are fun. I'm working on two of them right now for my girls. I like how you boxed each i-spy block in with a solid color. It's easier on the eyes than how I'm doing making these. They are going to love them and especially with minkee....it's so soft and cuddly.
enjoy your life...it's the only one you have!!!
    Heather
