How much fabric depends on the length of the pattern repeat. Even two yards would be enough if the repeat was only 12" and the book clearly states this, if you mean One Block Wonders by Maxine Rosenthal.
well I did kind of skim the book .
But here is an update. I have all sewn together and now need to figure out how to rearrange them .

Ok here is the lastest pic and I am at a loss. Not quite sure where to go from here.
I have them sort of set up by color I think. I have been taking photos and looking at them on the camera and moving things. I have some white on white that I can use as a back ground I think.
I am at THAT point where one just sits and scratches their head. lol

me, I'd go get more fabric and keep going.... ummmm, maybe. I've never put them on a background or done the triangle thing.... someday. If you have some leftover hex's I'd float them on your background further away. I also love contrast.... have you considered black? That color would explode off black!
