I got a wild hair and bought another Singer 15. Seen this one and jumped on it faster than anyone else could move I hoped. Luck was with me and I bought her home, haven't decided on a name yet. I paid $50 for the machine and what you see here.

Then I just happened upon this little one two days later. I wasn't going to get it and found myself going back for it! Paid $30 for it. Now my dh calls me a hoarder. I think he is kidding :), but perhaps not. Anyway, I think I did alright! I am happy!

Thanks. I did rearrange the pics, so you could see which is which. The little one is a toy, kinda silly to pay that much for a toy machine, but I know I probably wouldn't find a singer toy again for that price! I got to clean them both up, put a new seat on the 15's chair. They both are really in great condition especially the little one!

The cabinet on the right looks just like the one for my Mom's 301. love the little machine. She would have been hard for me to resist too.

Oh that 15 and the stool and sewing table.. brings back memories! those are exactly the kind my mom used when I was a kid. I used it a couple of times, for home ec sewing class, but I wasn't a sewer at all then.
I wish my mom still had it.. I would love to get one!

    Great find!

U dun good, girl! What wonderful finds! Way to go!!!
I am looking for a treadle. Most of the ones I have seen are in the hundreds of dollars! I think I may be becoming a sewing machine "hoarder" also... but I'm sure I'm not alone! LOL

quiltjoey, too bad you don't live closer, I seen a new home treadle in my area, look like in decent condition for $65. Gee, I really want a singer though.
