Yikes! That also tells me that men do not have a clue as to the value of the quilt tops! Get them quilted by a 'long arm' person SOON, and get the man who sold them to tell you all the info about the quilt maker...make the lables and add them including your name also and how you got them. That will be very interesting to who ever you give them to, or sell them. Then get a value set on them, so your family has a clue if anything happens to you!
I see the wedding ring quilts that are so admired, and NOT easy to do....you certainly have a treasure!!

I have some unquilted tops....now that I see what happened to that man's wife's quilts, I'm going to get mine finished up in a hurry, get them labled, and get a value set on them by an appraiser!

If they're all just quilt tops, you should finish one and give it back to him.

I am sure any of 'us' would be honored to be the recipient of anything you did send PIF -wise. Has to be a hard decision though as to how to decide who would get it. A drawing would probably be the best way. Sending healing thoughts to your Michigan relative. Keep in touch!

Are you kidding with us!! Surely you must realize what a bargain you got. Have you look at the price of a quilt anywhere? Geez even the the chain "Just quilts" in the malls of America have quilts starting at $40. Your are homemade and kingsize!
