    No you didn't exactly steel the quilts, but you got the bargain of bargains and what luck you have. He kept these for a long time, it would certainly be nice if you gave him one he is most fond of back quilted and completed.

    I agree, you got quite a deal! I'd get as much info on each of them from him so you can document them on the labels. What pieces of history you've found!!

    I would like to think that when the time comes for my family to "dispurse" of my quilt tops and unfinished items, supplies and fabrics that they find a good home for them where they will continue to give the kind of joy that I got from them..yes, you did steal them, but I bet the women that made them would be pleased you have them.
