I really wanted to use a cream-ish TOT. None in my stash though. :( In effort to honour my Granny, who uses what she has and is very frugal, I'm not buying anything new for this project.Originally Posted by kathy

I love the fabrics in the last one. They really made me smile when I saw them. Just ask Grandma what color she likes. I know we all like to give surprise gifts, but I have found that the women in my family enjoy the anticipation of waiting for the gift they know I am making for them. They will ask me how it is coming along and tell me how happy they are that I am making such an effort for them. I tell them it's because I love them.

Pitchure A reminds me of one of my Grandmothers, and Picture D reminds me of the other.
I love D a little more than A - But eitehr one.
Sorry not much help.

I just finished an Irish Chain with white in each 9P and white for the open square -- then I I hit my stash and made all the 9P's with different fabrics. I had to repeat quite a few, but my only "rule" was that I couldn't have the same fabric next to another piece of the same fabric. My quilt is bright and cheerful and doesn't "read" any one color. It's also a bit different from most Irish Chain quilts. Sorry I'm not equipped to include a photo.
