Default I'll call this "Mommy and Me" quilt

Here is my 1st Sunbonnet Sue quilt. And here is her story.....When I got married over 34 years ago, my mom made me a wedding ring pattern quilt. Still have it, and passed it on to my daughter who is now married. Several years ago, my daughter noticed that my two sisters each had a Sunbonnet Sue quilt and have passed their quilt to their daughters, and even granddaughters.....Well, she wasn't happy that I didn't have a Sunbonnet Sue (so I could pass on to her!!!) and requested I make one. So yes, it took me quite some time to get it done, but here it is. No where close to perfect, but made by me. Quilted by her grandmother and I on the her great grandmother's quilting frame......Hopefully one day she will pass it on to her daughter!

I can't wait to see it. I am working on a crib Sunbonnet Sue for my baby daughter now. I finished all the blocks and am putting the sashing on as I write this. I'm doing attic Windows sashing for the first time and like the way it's working out. One of my UFOs is a twin size Sunbonnet Sue too, that I hope to finish next year.:-) I love Sunbonnet Sue quilts!

If you are used the "advanced" format, added your pictures and then previewed your typing, the pictures will disappear. So you have to go back and download the pictures again. Good luck!
