    I enjoyed seeing your quilt as my daughter has requested a purple and sage green quilt. The colors really do look well together and I love the hearts on point!

    As to the velvet, I actually had all four corners of each block sewed on (after a big fight with the velvet on each block), and when I went to sew the sashing (which is a batik), if one didn't slide, the other slid! Even when I pinned it! I sat and pulled every stitch out of the velvet -- cause I loved the heart blocks! I'm glad I finished it.

    Kudos to anyone who completed that quilt with the velvet! I'm a beginning quilter and I couldn't handle it. Maybe sometime in the next 20 years LOL :)

    That is beautiful! I love the sashing fabric of the little vines shading in all the colors you used in the quilt. Good thing you had fabric you could substitute for the velvet you didn't want to work with in the kit. It looks great!

    I love it love it love it!!! Of course I am a purple fan, but even with that being said it is a very pretty quilt :thumbup:
