First off ((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))
Second it is a Beautiful Quilt and you should be proud of it!!! Sounds to me like maybe he is grumpy bcause he is missing someone who used to tell him all those things about quilts. My dad has become one of those grumpy old men since his wife is gone. He just doesn't know how to express it any other way. Forgive those who can not help themselves and be proud of your own accomplishments

Here is a big HUG for you too! That grumpy old man didn't know what he was talking about,I bet he never made a quilt.
You should have asked him what quilting school he went to. I just hate it when people are mean to others. Especially when they obviously don't know what they are talking about!

Great Job on your quilt. It is beautiful!

That sure is a beautiful quilt and I wouldn't let the old guy spoil it. He probably was having a bad day and wanted someone else to be miserable too.

Bobbie, maybe he had recently lost his wife who may have been a quilter. You never know what the other person is going thru. That may have been his way of dealing with some problems in his life.
Your quilt is fantastic!! Don't let other's make you feel small.

He is just unhappy and wants to make everyone else unhappy. In the day of women making quilts from old clothes, men also grew most of the food they ate.. bet he didn't go into to that.... Any way ((((((((Hugs)))))))) to you. You quilt is AWESOME and the quilting is beautiful!!

Most men back then road a horse to get were they were going, worked 12 and 14 hour days, rolled their on cigarettes, fixed what was broken, shoed their own horses, got up and did it all again the next day.
Thats what my grandpa did, God love him.
