Default Im a scrapper and a lil bit of a Hoarder too...

I pulled out a few my 10.5 batiks from the monthly swaps that ive accumulated since 2010, and decided to make a tumbler quilt.. so for the last two nights i was cutting large tumblers with my GO... BUT.....

i realized that if i use my GO triangle die to cut here......

    and another triangle cut here..

    and sliced these sections...
    .
This is what i end up with..
tumblers, triangles for another quilt, 3.5x5 inch chunks for almost anything, strips for the birds to make spring nests, and triangle wedges... and guess what !!

I can even match the 'triangles wedges' to make lil blocks !!! ...
Nothing went into the trash ! I utilized every lit bit... and THATS the hoarder in me..

    Thanks for looking..

I am with you on being a hoarder of scraps. I even save those thin strips to wrap around cloths line rope to make bowls, baskets & hot pads out of. I just hate wasting anything concerning fabric. I also use the small triangles that I cut off a block & put two together & use them as starters & enders while constructing other blocks. All that thread that would have been cut off & tossed is now being used. You would be surprised how much thread is really wasted by not doing this. Once you get a pile of these you can keep using them till you get a block made out if them & you can come up with so many different blocks with them & make your own creation.
