Not too many quilts make me talk to myself out loud when I see them, but this one did.

    That's really lovely.

This is absolutely the best spool quilt I have ever seen. Your quilting proves "the quilting makes the quilt". So beautiful. (Now that you have made one of your own, pm me for my address. Hahaha)

I would say you only have to please yourself and that it was worth the extra effort to get your desired finish!
You have just added to your quilt's journey from start to finish. Congrats and enjoy your eye candy!

Beautiful quilt and stunning quilting! You should be very proud of yourself. It's nice to do something for yourself for a change. I'm sure it will make you smile every time you walk into your sewing room and see it.

Wowser, Harriet! You need to enter that somewhere. I'm just curious but what is the width of one of those "threads" on a spool? And where did you hide the seam allowances under there?

Wonderful combination of elements in your quilt, Harriet. I always admire your quilting and artistry with the needle! Thank you for sharing that some of your work is by computerized and that some of it is freehand. I love your freehand work. I especially like your border as it complements the patchwork so beautifully.
