    i think you picked the perfect pattern for all of the crazy patterns...it looks wonderful....give yourself a pat on the back...you earned it!

    Like the pattern but I agree with you, the fabrics TOGETHER are butt ugly. You sure did a good job though considering you had to work with a "sow's ear" !!! You are one dedicated friend to take on that challenge.

    Your story made me belly laugh! Then I read it aloud to my husband, and we had another laugh. I've learned a lesson from you. I will always insist upon fabric approval if I'm making a quilt for someone else. It would not be fun to work on a project that made my eyes hurt.

    I think it's lovely, not my fabric choices either but you did a wonderful job. Just think of it as to what beauty you can create from not so nice fabric. It dances.

    My DMIL's favorite saying when she didn't know what to say was, "It's interesting." I thought it was a compliment the first few times she said it!! But your work is very talented.
