Yes, the first one is a little bit challenging being only 3"...but remember that sometimes less=more too. I think I did piece both of the 3" borders on the ones I did last year...so its doable!

[quote=pennyswings]Elle, really pretty center. Did you use metallic thread on the applique. Love the background color.
[quote=Butterflyspain]Here is your special thread for every round I will get Patrice to change the thread to read Round 23/4/5/6 etc

No its not metallic thread just those blendables you can get. I really like those.

We have a winter weather advisory and are supposed to get some accumulation. Perfect weather for working on a winter scene.

Ooh I feel guilty, we still have temperatures of 28C here, dropping to about 18C at night so we are very very lucky. The darker evenings will be here soon when the clocks change, so that makes it feel wintery, but its not really cold

Well....... it was going to be blocks for an art nouveau centre but I got a bit over whelmed by other things I was doing and it went on the back burner, and when this came along I thought perfect for using 4 of the blocks.

Did you like that story??? :D

First of all apologies for the spelling I spelt it wrongly. Its Art Nouveau. Honestly I had to look it up and here is what it said.

"Visual standards of the Art Nouveau style are flat, decorative patterns, intertwined organic forms of stems or flowers. Art Nouveau emphasized handcrafting as opposed to machine manufacturing, the use of new materials. "

any the wiser :D

LOL ... no! LOL
so you spelled it wrong because you didn't capitalize the first letters of the words? How gouche!
so, I take it that the items featured in your blocks are ... flowers?
I find myself thinking about your center, a frame around it, and what the next guy is going to be working with - - is that thinking ahead, or what? LOL
how challenging!
