I actually have the pattern to make that in one of my woodworking books. I wish I could think of the name of it now but the books are out in the workshop.

Love it, a multi tasking chair, how modern.

Now that's what I call space - saving. Lots of my friends have a big seat (called a 'settle') that converts into a picnic table - usually kept on a verandah or deck, and also a coffee table that converts to a dining table. However, this one would certainly add to the collection.

Sometimes they call those an "Onit". You can sit "onit", you can step up "onit" or you can iron "onit".
Or, that is how I have seen them listed at flea markets in Texas.

Love it...I want one, I could use a compact 'all in one' like that!

Brings back lots of memories. About 20 years ago, these were big sellers at craft shows here in Texas. My DSIL bought one that was painted red. I think she still has it in her sewing room. She bought it mostly as a conversation piece.

    Neat find.

I love it. It's a chair, stepladder and an ironing board. May you will start a comeback of this item. Looks really neat. Just right for a sewing room, use it to reach higher things, sit a spell or press fabrics. I'm not sure if I would want to test it for standing or sitting on at it's age. Might not be too safe.
