Here are some pictures of the finished quilt for my grandson. The pictures aren't very good; had trouble shooting the dark color. I found a neat way to apply the bias without puckering; I used the walking foot. It worked great! If your machine can't use a walking foot, it's time to step into the 21st century and buy a new machine. I was able to adjust the needle so it was close to the edge and still have all the walking foot on the fabric.

Thanks. I like rounding the corners on fleece because it is too hard to make a nice square corner. And with that brushed cotton being so soft I figured I would never be able to miter them. I tried making a curly fancy stitch but it didn't look right so I just used a straight stitch. He doesn't get the quilt till next weekend at his graduation party. I have enough of the check to make one pillow case, so I may use that for the gifting bag. Then I am making his favorite cake, a "better than almost anything cake" from the Betty Crocker Cake Book. He is going off to Virginia Tech as an engineering major. We are very proud of him and his smarts.
